Early Spring Newborn + Family Portraits at Home in Cottage Grove, MN | the Wongs

​One of the most heartwarming parts of my job is getting to witness and document the growth of a family over the years. I first met the Wong family when they had just one sweet kiddo. Since then, it’s been such a joy to photograph their growing crew, and now—here we are—welcoming baby number six! Little Eddie has officially made them a family of eight, and I couldn’t be more honored to help them mark this special season with newborn portraits. And getting to do it at their home? What a perfect way to keep the kids happy in their environment!

Every time we hang out with the Wongs, I’ve been struck by how deeply loved and uniquely celebrated each of their children is. From the oldest to the youngest, each kid brings something different and beautiful to the mix—whether it’s silliness, calm curiosity, boundless energy, or the best sibling snuggles. This time was no different. Watching the older kids light up around their baby brother was the sweetest thing, and their excitement to include him in everything was genuine and contagious.
Eddie, of course, stole the show with his tiny features and sleepy snuggles. He was peaceful and content almost the whole session—already fitting in perfectly with this joyful, full-of-life family. It’s amazing to think of how his own personality will emerge in the years to come. With five older siblings to learn from, play with, and be adored by, Eddie is surrounded by love and adventure from day one.

Wong family, thank you for letting me walk alongside you all these years. Your love for each other is unmistakable, and capturing your story through each new chapter has been such a gift. Welcome to the world, Eddie—you are already so deeply loved!
