Jackie & Quinn’s Sunset Engagement Photos at Hastings Lock and Dam

Jackie and Quinn’s engagement session at the Lock and Dam No. 2 in Hastings, Minnesota, felt like the perfect reflection of their relationship — laid-back and full of laughter. We spent the evening wandering along the river at sunset, soaking in the golden light and capturing the kind of moments that make engagement sessions so special.

Their story actually started back in high school after meeting on Tinder — although Jackie admits she didn’t really like Quinn at first. Eventually, they added each other on Snapchat, and in a completely unexpected twist, discovered they were vacationing at the exact same beach in Florida at the exact same time after spotting each other on Snap Map. Safe to say, things started getting more interesting after that.

Their first date was at Scheels, where they spent time shopping, talking, grabbing Chick-fil-A, and getting to know each other. Like many couples who started dating around 2020, they also survived the era of “COVID car dates.” From there, their relationship grew through shared adventures, outdoor activities, and simply enjoying life together.

Quinn officially asked Jackie to be his girlfriend on Mother’s Day, and in 2021, he proposed at Bde Maka Ska on the giant Adirondack chair overlooking the lake.

These two love spending time outdoors, wake surfing, tubing, hiking, skiing, and snowboarding — but they’re just as happy enjoying movies, TV shows, shopping trips, and celebrating life together at graduations, parties, and everyday moments.

Jackie and Quinn, it was such an honor capturing this season for you both. Sunset sessions in Hastings never disappoint, but the two of you made it even better.
