There’s something so precious about the quiet anticipation before baby arrives—and this misty summer morning with Agira and Stephen at Oakwood Park was just that.

I first met these two back when they were planning their wedding, and it’s been such a joy to walk alongside their story over the years. From their very first date at Dunn Bros in Eagan to now, preparing to meet their baby boy, you can see how their love has only deepened with time.
At 32 weeks, they reached out and said they wanted to capture this sweet in-between season. The last few weeks had sparked something—plans for a baby shower, the realization that this moment would never come again in quite the same way—and maternity photos suddenly felt like a “yes” they didn’t want to miss.
We met at Oakwood Park in Cottage Grove on a morning wrapped in gentle fog and soft light. I explained that while there's the temptation to cancel on these dreary mornings, this is actually the best lighting we could get! The trees stood still, the grass soaked from overnight dew, and everything felt hushed in the most peaceful way.
Stephen was steady and grinning at his bride (as always), and Agira simply glowed. She radiated calm joy and excitement, resting one hand gently over the curve of her belly, already so in mama mode with the little life growing within her.
These kinds of sessions are a reminder that even 20 minutes can capture the special stage of life. We got the classic “everyone looking” shots, of course—but more than that, we captured the quiet smiles, the belly laughs, the connection, the “we’re really doing this” kind of joy.
