Capturing the Ghandour family’s journey has been such a fun experience, and I’ve been fortunate to be there since their first sweet baby girl came into the world. It’s truly an honor to watch their family grow and evolve, and to document their love and energy through the years. Now, with three active kids, every session brings something new and wonderful. This time we got to explore Lake Rebecca Park in Hastings together.

Two weekends ago, I had the absolute joy of capturing family portraits for our dear friends, the Griffiths. Our friendship with Brady and Alyssa goes back many years to when we all met at Crown College. Brady was even a groomsman in our wedding, which makes these moments all the more special.
Celebrating milestones is always special, and I was thrilled to take Shauna and Jordan’s tenth anniversary photos at Oakwood Park in Cottage Grove. Having previously captured their love story during their five-year anniversary, it was heartwarming to see how much had changed in just five years, especially with the addition of their adorable 19-month-old twins. The family journeyed from Iowa for the week, giving Shauna and Jordan a rare chance for a couple’s getaway while their twins were lovingly cared for by their grandparents. This time, we embraced the chaos and joy that only toddlers can bring. The twins were bursting with curiosity, exploring the vibrant flowers, soft dirt, and even acorns scattered around the park. Their delight was infectious, especially when they spotted the airplanes soaring through the skies—something I was reminded that they don’t often see back home.
Capturing the extended family photos of Linda Dagen was an absolute joy. Linda is a remarkable woman I know from church, whose journey through adversity has only deepened her authenticity and joy. She has an incredible ability to see and love people, radiating a warmth that draws everyone.
During our photo session, the atmosphere was filled with laughter and love as I captured this special family. I felt honored to capture these moments of connection, where every smile reflected Linda’s contentment in the Father's love. We even managed to sneak in some beautiful senior shots of her granddaughter, highlighting the next generation of joy and resilience. These images will serve as lasting memories of a family deeply rooted in love. It was a true privilege to document Linda’s legacy, showcasing not just her family, but the spirit of joy that she brings into the lives of those around her. Linda, as you said, these photos are your Christmas gift to yourself -- I hope they're treasures that last a lifetime! September sunsets, family time, school and life activities, and another year growing older together. Love these stages of life and walking alongside with families from year after year. Yang family, thanks for another wonderful time outdoors enjoying creation while capturing your family photos! Have a great school year!
