One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to walk alongside families year after year, watching their stories unfold in front of my lens. The Ghandour family is one of those treasures. I still remember their very first in-home newborn session with their oldest baby girl — and it’s been such a joy to capture their milestones ever since. This year, we met at Pine Tree Pond in Cottage Grove for a summer mini session. The weather kept us guessing, sprinkling on and off throughout our time together, but this family took it all in stride. Rather than letting the rain dampen the evening, they laughed, played, and made the most of it — which, of course, makes for the best kind of photos. The kids brought so much energy and personality, and it’s always fun to see how much they’ve grown since the last time I photographed them. Watching siblings interact is one of my favorite things to capture — those little in-between moments of connection that show just how much love is wrapped up in family life. Even with the unpredictable skies, Pine Tree Pond gave us a beautiful backdrop, and the sprinkles added a bit of sparkle and fun to the evening. It felt like a reminder that sometimes the imperfect weather makes for the most memorable sessions. Ghandour family, it’s always an honor to document your journey. Thank you for letting me freeze these fleeting seasons for you — from those early newborn days to this stage of playful, growing kids. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings!
