There are some sessions that feel extra close to the heart, and this one was just that. Brady and Alyssa aren’t just clients — they’re long-time friends who’ve been part of our lives since our own college days at Crown. We’ve done life together in so many seasons — carpooling to friends’ weddings, being a part of each other’s, raising our kids side by side, and walking through the highs and lows of everyday life.

That’s what made this session so meaningful. We returned to the very place where it all began — Crown College — and spent the evening along the shores of Lake Parley. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect: a fall evening that still carried that summer warmth, golden light filtering through the trees, and plenty of space for their kids to run, play, and just be themselves.

The kids kept giggling, thanks to their dad’s silly antics, and one of the highlights of the evening was tossing rocks into the lake together or laughing as I walked into the water to get shots of them straight on in the water. Those little moments of joy, so simple yet so full, are exactly what I love to capture — the real pieces of family life that you’ll want to remember years from now.

These photos aren’t just about this one evening. They hold years of friendship, countless shared memories, and the promise of so many more still ahead. Brady and Alyssa, it’s a joy to capture your family again, and an even greater joy to continue walking through life with you.
