September Sunset Portraits Along the Mississippi River | the Biehl Family

I started taking this family's photos when they were new Minnesotan residents. It was in September of 2020 when the world still felt... you know, COVID-crazy. They shared crazy stories of what it was like to move multiple states while the whole world was mostly shut down. While we walked amidst apple trees, I captured big brother and baby sister taking in the entire new world. Fast forward to today -- here we are for another year, but now they have three kids instead of two and are well settled into life in Minnesota. ​So naturally, this year we took their mini photos close to the water, not just the water but also the Mississippi River. We looked at bugs, picked up sticks, threw rocks into the river, and captured their playful relationships.

Biehl family, thanks for another fun evening outdoors in nature! I loved watching how you got down on their level, took the moment to be curious with them, and showed them the fun of an evening outdoors with the simplicity of nature. Enjoy your kids in each of their ages and stages. Press on to run the race well!
