How cute are these kiddos? Their mom reached out to me a month ago with hopes of getting family portraits scheduled. With the little sister turning 6 months, they needed an updated family photo. With all the rain we have had in Minnesota lately, I have had to do more rescheduling portraits than ever, so when she reached out a few days before their shoot and shared that they are hoping to get this done, we worked on moving up their date and ended up having the perfect weather for their session! The catch on why we really needed to reschedule? They are headed out of town for the summer on a new family adventure! I look forward to seeing them again and asking how it all went while we document their precious family! Family photos are so important because it gives the chance to capture the stage of life and relationships at this stage. Do not get me wrong, I love getting the posed, looking at the camera shots, but the candid, real-life, playful moments are always my favorites. Looking at the two oldest playing with Dad brings me back to their laughter and running around amidst the grass. Looking at the mom hanging with little baby sister brings back her awe as she experienced grass for the first time (yes, it was hard to get her attention for photos because she was so curious!). Cross family, I hope your travels went well for your new adventure and you are making many fun memories for years to come! I am so excited we captured this stage of life so you can look back in the future and say how this was right before this big adventure. Have a wonderful summer and I look forward to seeing you again!
