Documenting the growth and bond of a family over the years is a privilege I cherish as a photographer! The Hellen family has been a joy to work with, and this year's family portrait session at Vermillion Falls in Hastings was another chance to walk through life together. Despite a series of challenges—a rain delay, a sick kiddo, and a change in location due to flooding—we finally found ourselves surrounded by the natural beauty of Vermillion Falls. The waterfall provided a stunning backdrop as the Hellen family embraced the spirit of adventure and togetherness, but a very loud one at that! As we explored the area, capturing candid moments of laughter and playfulness, it became clear how much love and connection this family shares. A family who plays together stays together! One of the highlights of our photo session was our walk to the lock bridge in Hastings, where the family paused to take in the scenic views and share curiosity over the different fun locks. It's moments like these that remind me why family photography is so meaningful—to freeze these fleeting moments of happiness and love that will be cherished for years to come. To the Hellen family, thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey once again. It's been an honor to document your story from year to year, capturing the growth of your children and the deepening of your relationships. I look forward to seeing how your journey continues and to capturing more beautiful memories in the years ahead.
