The Fenske Family | Leduc Historic Estates

The Fenske family holds such a special place in my heart. I’ve been taking their photos since before they were a family of three—starting with their wedding and then getting to photograph them as they welcomed their sweet little girl into the world. And now, somehow, that tiny newborn is a full-on big girl!

​One of my favorite things about watching families grow is seeing those little personalities develop along the way. She kept us laughing throughout their session, and more than once I heard, “Let me see!” as she wanted to check out the photos I was taking.

We laughed, we played, and we captured so many of those little moments that make this season of their family so special. I especially loved that Mom and daughter coordinated their outfits again, just like they have for sessions in years past. There’s something so sweet about those little traditions that continue from one session to the next.

And apparently, we hadn’t taken quite enough photos yet—because even at the very end, she wanted to head back into the tall grass for more. Maybe next time little lady 😉

It’s such an honor to get to photograph this family through so many seasons of life. From their wedding day, to a newborn baby, to watching that baby become the funny, confident little girl she is today—I’m so grateful I get to be the one behind the camera for some of these memories.
