DO YOU SHOOT AS A HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM?

For weddings, yes — by default, it's Lindsay leading your day, with Mark available to add on as a second shooter for extra coverage and an extra set of hands. Having gone through it ourselves, we love bringing that perspective to your day if you choose to add him.

For engagement, family, and senior sessions, it's just me (Lindsay) from start to finish — otherwise Mark's home with our three kids!

DO YOU SHOOT IN DIGITAL OR FILM?

We shoot in digital. We love the freedom to take multiple shots of every moment to serve you best! It also helps prevent the classic blinking during a photo shot -- we got you!

WHAT CAMERA & LENSES DO YOU USE?

We shoot with a Canon 5D Mark IV & III as well as have a Canon 6D ready to go as a necessary backup. Our favorite lens is the Canon 50mm F/1.2 lens, but we have more in the bag! We also have multiple flashes we can use, so even though we prefer natural light we're totally prepared to create gorgeous indoor portraits -- especially those indoor lifestyle sessions or wedding day receptions which can be rather dark!

WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY PHOTOS?

We can't stress enough the importance of not only natural light but the "golden hour" light -- aka the sun that's closest to sunrise or sunset. This creates fresh, timeless photos that will be true to you! Plus, then you're not squinting with harsh light in your eyes or forced to stay in the shadows. Just a reminder, the sun sets much later in the summer and much earlier in the winter months so use a sunset calculator to determine the sunset for your date and location then subtract your session time. 

WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?

Our style is all about capturing the real joy in your life! We are going to create images that feel fresh and natural -- avoiding those stiff awkward prom or family photos. We want photos that feel like you. We’re going to take a mix of some really great traditional portraits and fun fresh editorial portraits. We want to make sure you have those precious and fun candid photos on your wall as well as one you can share with your family and grandparents that shows you looking at the camera. For us our style is all about capturing the joy in life.

WHERE DO YOU TAKE OUR PHOTOS?

The location of your portrait session is up to you! Most of our clients choose to show off the natural beauty of Minnesota throughout the Twin Cities and surrounding area. Outdoor, open-air environments are always our first choice and we have plenty of them with all of our great state and local park reserves. In outdoor, open locations the light is heavenly, especially during golden hour. We also love to do lifestyle sessions in our clients home -- especially during the winter months as no one wants to be outside trying to take pictures when it's below zero. There are so many great spots throughout our area that even if you've never seen us there, we're always up for a new adventure together! Try to think outside the box about places special to you and brainstorm spots that only you have access to.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR SESSIONS/WEDDINGS?

We're totally game traveling! If you have a place you would like to use for your session, send us a message and I'm sure we can make it work! Not sure where you want your photos taken? No worries, we have a ton of great spots in our back pockets. We're also familiar with traveling for destination weddings and love to explore fun new places (check out Nate & Chantelle's day)!

HOW DO I ACCESS MY PHOTOS AFTER YOU DELIVER THEM TO ME?

We have an entire lengthy email that gives a step-by-step process on how to download your images but we'll quickly break it down for you! We use an awesome online personal gallery called PASS that'll give you a personal link to your gorgeous photos. It allows you to download the photos onto your phone or computer and share them on social media directly from your gallery as an option, but not a requirement. You can even share the link with friends & family! 

CAN I SHARE MY PHOTOS ONLINE?

For sure! We just ask that you would tag our business account "Wiggins Photography" on facebook or Lindsay's instagram account (@lindsaywiggins). We do this because we're proud of our work and would love for your friends and family to also trust us like you did for their own special occasions!

DO I HAVE TO PRINT THROUGH YOU? CAN I PRINT THROUGH YOU?

We don't have you print through us :) When we send the the link to your photos as we deliver them electronically and the details of how to download them, we'll include a professional print release so you can print wherever you'd like -- just keep in mind that at retail labs the machines aren't calibrated and technicians aren't trained to make consistent professional prints, so you might see slight or even drastic differences of quality between your screen and the prints you receive.

We recommend printing through Shutterfly and mpix.com!

HOW FAR OUT DO I NEED TO BOOK YOU?

If you are booking a wedding, I recommend reaching out as early as possible — since we only take on a handful of weddings each year, dates can fill quickly. We generally don't book much beyond about a year out, though feel free to reach out even if your date's further away. For family, engagement, or portrait sessions, typically a few weeks to a month is plenty of time. Obviously, during high-traffic months like September & October, it's harder to squeeze you in!
