Ariel & Alex // Afton State Park Engagement Portrait Session, Minnesota

​“Just wait,” Alex said after Ariel asked if they would get going soon. They were sitting on a bench at Afton State Park and Alex was working up the courage to propose to Ariel. She had remarked about how peaceful of a spot it was so he knew this was the perfect moment as they loved to hike together. He had finally worked up the courage, popped down on one knee and was about to put on the ring when an older woman walked by and took her sweet time enjoying all the flowers so once they were alone again, he put the ring on Ariel’s finger and made it official. We laughed that during a candid portrait set in their engagement session at Afton State Park, a gentleman walked right through their photo instead of walking around them – interrupting the moment like the older lady had all over again. Speaking of their engagement session, we laughed so hard and had so much fun with these two! We can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Alex and Ariel are getting married next October at the Olympic Hills Golf Club in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. They got introduced by one of Alex's colleagues last December. They laughed while remembering about how their first few dates went until the location closed -- the first date was at Caribou Coffee in Cottage Grove and lasted 7 hours, their second date was at the Tap Room in Woodbury for 6 hours, and their third date they didn’t disclose quite how long it was but at a fun arcade were they got to play fun old games like Pac-Man. 
 
Ariel and Alex, we are seriously so excited for your wedding! We’ll be praying for you two as you make your decisions as you approach your wedding but more so that you are preparing for the rest of your lives together after your special day! Can’t wait to hang out again soon!
