There’s something magical about a quiet morning in Shakopee’s Memorial Park, especially when golden hour light spills across the grass, dances off the water, and illuminates the flowers (especially baby's breath!) — wrapping everything in a warm glow. It was the perfect backdrop for celebrating Rose and Dennis as they await the arrival of their baby boy — now just a few weeks away at 33 weeks along.

There’s something so precious about the quiet anticipation before baby arrives—and this misty summer morning with Agira and Stephen at Oakwood Park was just that.

On a beautiful summer evening at Oakwood Park in Cottage Grove, I had the pleasure of photographing Haley and James for their maternity portraits. The weather was absolutely perfect—a gentle breeze and cooler temperatures created an ideal setting for their chosen long-sleeve outfits. The soft summer light and serene atmosphere of the park provided a stunning backdrop for this special moment in their lives.

And just like that it is spring! And we are back! It has been a very wintry winter, but just like the adorable light purple flowers popping through the dirt that the kids had fun looking at during their family maternity photos at Leduc Estates, there is new life on the horizon. And it is not just for creation, but also for this special family in soon becoming a family of seven.
