They stood only steps away from each other. His back to her. Beautiful, fresh spring-time flowers grasped within the palms of her hands. He stood still. Hands clasped one over the other, holding back the wedding day nerves and sheer excitement to see his beautiful bride. It was cold for an April wedding. They didn’t expect the snow for their day, but it was a beautiful white covering over the world. Showing the freshness and newness of the final moments of being fiancés and the starting moments of a married couple. KayLee walked slowly towards Eno. Each step bringing them closer to the moment where they’d say I do and further away from how their lives had been. They had met on Christian Mingle. He was living in Ohio but from Albania, she from Wisconsin. There was no doubt that God had brought these two together, everyone in their family and friends attested to that throughout their day. They had spent most of their relationship long distance, but the distance did not keep them apart. They spent each day talking and facetiming with one another – KayLee laughing at Eno’s jokes and sharing all of their favorite movies. They had set the goal to see each other at least once per month and when they had the chance to be together, they often spent it outdoors hiking or watching all sorts of movies because no genre was their particular favorite.
As KayLee reached out her arm and touched Eno’s shoulder the moment had finally arrived. It was different than their proposal where Eno had surprised KayLee in Michigan, so much so that when he got down on one knee to propose, all she could say was, “Are you serious?” This moment. This was different. As Eno slowly turned to see his beautiful bride, there were no words to exchange. Big smiles. A warm hug. They drew each other close, knowing that they could now proceed throughout the day, resting in the arms of the ones that they love. KayLee and Eno, we wish you two nothing but the best! We hope you enjoyed your warm honeymoon in Florida while we were given a blizzard here. Say hi to your puppy dog, Penny, for us!
