I’m always amazed how fast time goes by in one of our child’s lives and for every senior photography session, wedding day, and family portrait session, I look at other parents with their children and think to myself, “That’ll be me before we know it!” This was definitely the case in taking Cameron’s senior portraits in Elk River when Cameron and his mom get out of the car. It felt like just yesterday that we were taking Cameron’s older brother’s senior photos in the same downtown Elk River area and here we were already taking Cameron’s. Cameron is a 2020 senior at Spectrum High School in Elk River, Minnesota – my alma mater! Go Spectrum Sting! He has been active in basketball at Spectrum and is also balancing sports with working. When Cameron’s mom, Meagan, reached out for a senior session, I explained how sunrise is the best time of the day and Cameron was a Rockstar about getting up early on a Saturday morning – which gave us the ability to get the best lighting possible! Plus, not a lot of people are out that early (just some people doing yoga by the river). We had a great time just chatting during his session as we all had just attended a weeklong youth conference called LIFE 2019 in Orlando, Florida. We shared how we both loved the same speaker, what service project our group did during the time, and overall that the conference was truly amazing!
Cameron, we’re excited for your future! Praying you dig those roots down deep into Christ and stand firm upon his truths in a world that will fight to pull you down. We can’t wait to hear how you’re doing and how your senior year is going next time I bump into you or your parents!
