These two are one of those couples. Those couples? Those couples. The couple that is extremely giving, so relaxed, and you can’t help but leave smiling after being with them. So naturally, when they shared they wanted their portraits taken, I jumped at the opportunity! We finished our beautiful night of mini sessions with George and Phyllis, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. We laughed and chatted for most of the photography session, teasing one another and having a fabulous time.

We met George and Phyllis through our church, and the best way that I can describe the love and appreciation that we have for these two is that they have become like an extra set of grandparents. They love on our kids (They probably crossed the border into spoiling them a few years back.) so much so that the boys pretend to call them throughout the day and reference going to their house to go swimming often. Oh, and all the hot dogs… and pizza... Can’t forget those details! Can you see why the kids love them?!

George and Phyllis, thank you for being such supporters of us in all aspects of our lives! Thanks for teasing and laughing with us in the many ups and downs of life, especially parenting. Thanks for frequently inviting us over and opening your house to go swimming. We so appreciate you two and thank God for you often! Keep being yourselves – a light and refreshing couple in a world that seems full of cynicism and grumpiness.

Also thanks for trusting us to take your couple portraits! I know you said it’s been a while, so the fact that you picked us to do them is such an honor. We hope you love them and can’t wait to show you more soon!
