Just over a month ago, this fun email hit my inbox: “Hi Lindsay, Kristina and I have had our photos taken during sessions with you the past 2 years. I recently bought an engagement ring and think it would be cute to propose to Kristina during another photo session. Is this something you would be willing to do/have the ability to do? Thank you, Adam.” I believe my response started something to the effect of ”Hey Adam!! YAY!!! Absolutely love this idea!! Ahh!! So excited! Yes, please!” We chatted over email and phone over the next few weeks talking through ideas, locations, and how to go about it then on the day of the weather had a different idea. 90% chance of a thunderstorm at the time that we were planning the proposal? Yikes. Adam and I texted throughout the day and quickly decided to move things up a few hours. I rushed to the location, walking hastily to the spot where I was to hide with two cameras bumping around with each step (and getting strange looks from people walking past me). Testing the lighting, texting Adam I had arrived, I then sat at my spot waiting and hiding – some poor girl ran by twice with her dog and on the third time randomly stopped right by me and then jumped so bad when she saw I was sitting among the brush off the path, sorry! Not long after, I saw two heads coming around the corner and approaching closer and closer, but the tree in front of me and the tall sides of the bridge made it so hard to see without sticking my head up too high. I hoped she wouldn’t see me and finally when it felt like they had to just about be at the spot, I hopped out . It was perfect timing: there was Adam getting down on one knee. Kristina reached out to take the ring, Adam slid it onto her hand, they kissed, and then Kristina turned to me laughing – we had done it! Adam, props to you! You successfully planned, carried it out, and are now engaged! Next up is the wedding planning, which I think Kristina will be doing more. We are so beyond excited for you two and were so honored to get to capture this precious moment of your relationship! Congrats again!
