Keaton and Sam // Romantic Outdoor Engagement Session at Elm Creek Park Reserve

Alaska in all its beauty. Keaton asked Sam to venture with him to his favorite spot – one with a gorgeous view and a fantastic hike. Sam was excited, she knew this was a special place, a place that they bring all of their friends and family, but she hadn’t been there before. They made the hike and arrived at the spot, the only problem was the weather. Instead of a gorgeous view, they looked out into a cloud. Instead of a sunny day, it trickled rain. Sam stood there, curious as to why Keaton had asked to head to this spot. After all, it had been raining even before they left. Why would he have wanted to head here in this weather? Of course, her hope and inkling was right. She turned to Keaton and he looked at her, saying, “Well, I know something that will make this hike worth it.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box with a beautiful ring. “Will you marry me?”

Sam and Keaton tell me that this wasn’t the first time Keaton had asked. The first time Keaton asked Sam to marry him, they had been in the car on their way back from a date. Keaton asked and Sam jokingly opened the door to get out of the car until Keaton said, "Just kidding! Will you be my girlfriend?" Sam agreed and this started their dating relationship. When you hang out with these two, you quickly learn they love to joke and laugh. It’s contagious and infectious.

Another fun thing about these two? They love to travel. They’ve got some crazy stories about their camper van in the mountains and steep roadways of Australia and New Zealand.

Keaton and Sam, thanks so much for the fun! We felt like your engagement session was a double date! We love how you to so enjoy being around each other and light up as you talk about one another and your crazy adventures. We can’t wait to hang out with you again on your wedding day!
