Megan and Timon // Baby Sahlstrom Coming!

I'll never forget the moment. The day had been a whirlwind. It was our church's Christmas program so my entire family had come to watch Ethan dance/sing and be dressed as a donkey. He definitely proved to be hilarious with the thumbs up and cheesin' at us all. We headed home after the exciting morning to quickly make a meal as we were going to head out the door to see "The Star" as a Christmas family outing. We sat down to the meal around our dining room table and we got on the subject about seeing someone was getting a goat on facebook or something. We joked about who in the family should get one and with knowing that Timon and Megan are in the process of looking for a house, I said something to the effect of “well, Megan and Timon should get one so that they can have a kid!”

Without missing a beat, Megan says, “Well we are going to have a kid, I’m pregnant.” Now, if you know Megan, she has a gift of saying things flat out that can be either completely serious or totally a joke, so when she said this, we all immediately stopped talking, looked in their direction and waited. I watched as Timon couldn’t do anything other than look at his wife and smile while Megan just had a smug grin. The reality of it hit me – she was serious. We all started cheering and only stopped momentarily to acknowledge my dad’s joyful tears streaming down his face before having to quickly pack up and rush out the door to our movie.
 
Megan and Timon, we are sooo beyond excited for you to welcome this new bundle of joy! We are excited to watch you two grow as parents and in your marriage. We are excited for our boys to have a cousin on the Bondy side! We are excited to watch you raise this child in the Lord. Basically, we’re just super excited!! Our prayer for you is that you two will be able to hold fast to Christ and one another as you share His love with this little one. We love you guys!
