Rustic Minnesota Barn & Monticello Wedding // Jordan & Emily

Taking wedding photos at a beautiful Minnesotan rustic barn is one thing. Taking wedding photos at the place where your grandparents met – the place where your grandpa went to work on a farm and met the love of his life – is another. This was the case for Jordan and Emily’s gorgeous wedding day in Monticello, Minnesota. While the wedding was at Elk River United Methodist Church and the reception in the Mississippi Room of the Monticello Community Center, they wanted their portraits done at a place that held precious past family memories and would create special new ones.

From the beginning of the day on, Emily was always smiling. The sheer joy that her wedding day had arrived radiated from every ounce of interaction, beauty, and detail! From the matching robes to the champagne glasses decorated by some of the bridesmaids, the Superman cufflinks to the DIY-gorgeous flowers, and the precious father-daughter first look in addition to the first look, it was overwhelmingly clear that each person around Jordan and Emily were just as excited about their wedding day as they were.
 
We think Mark’s favorite part of day was all the times that the groomsmen made him laugh. He loves a good dry sense of humor! Lindsay’s favorite part of the day isn’t as easy to narrow down as she loved watching Jordan and Emily interact with Emily’s grandparents, loved seeing how comfortable and natural Jordan and Emily were in each other’s arms, and loved all the detail shots.
 
Jordan and Emily, don’t lose your joy, your care for those around you, and the way your two’s eyes light up when you see each other. Fight hard to keep each other in the right focus and over the coming years focus on the aspects you love about each other instead of the differences. We are so excited for you two to be venturing on this big journey!
