 A week ago, we were out without coats on enjoying the 46 degrees and today we're "enjoying" a lovely "feels like" -5 degrees. That's Minnesota for you! Thankfully, Brian and Jessica wisely chose last week to explore Saint Paul’s historical Union Depot for their maternity session and the bonus was being able to step outside its front doors to snap a few photos without completely freezing! Meet Brian and Jessica– this awesome couple are the parents to two adorable kiddos (see their fall session here) as well as one on the way! I have loved seeing how their family has grown over the past few years. When I chatted with Jessica, she shared that this little baby boy is already measuring at 8 lbs and 4 oz, so a full-term baby. When I asked her for the due date she made me giggle when she said his eviction notice is on February 13 – just in time for Valentine’s Day! During their maternity session, I found out that these two got season passes to the Twin Cities’ United season. Mark loves United. He was super pumped to get to go to their inaugural season home opener last year against Atlanta on March 12. He even did it when it became clear that the Minnesota weather had decided to dump about 4 inches during the first game. Meanwhile, Ethan and I enjoyed watching the game from the comfort of our couch at home and definitely giggled at the fact that daddy was there while the officials had to keep pausing the game to have the grounds keepers come and blow off the boundary lines. Brian and Jessica, it’s crazy to think that the next time I see you, you’ll have another cute kiddo. I can’t wait to hear your oldest talk about holding down the fort as the only girl – I’m sure she’s got this! If you’re as intentional as you have been in how you raise your other two and how you love those around you, he’ll be one blessed little boy. As Scripture says, “start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” I’m so glad we got to explore the Depot together and hang out with the two of you before you welcome another precious child into this world.
