Storytime at the library -- picture a lot of little kiddos walking around, dancing, singing, chewing on – I mean reading – books, sitting in their mommies’ laps, and all other manners of life with littles. Sindy walked in with Coen and sat near E and I. We soon exchanged greetings, realized our boys were the same age, and just like that we hit it off. It’s been fun to connect with this family over the past few years for multiple play dates, park walks, and adventures. I’ll never forget when Sindy excitedly shared she was expecting and within another few months I was sharing we were expecting our second as well! I got to be a part of Keelan’s newborn hospital session before our little Deacon came along.
After looking through Keelan’s session, I couldn’t help but take a peek at Deacon’s newborn photos leaving me in awe of how much little ones change in such a short time. Within this last week alone, our little D has started pulling himself up, moved from army crawling to full out crawling, started this super silly sound game, and has begun to wave and clap – what?? Little ones never cease to amaze me! One of the fun aspects about the Hobbs family is that Sindy is teaching her son how to not only speak English but since she’s from Costa Rica she’s also teaching him Spanish. It’s amazing to observe how well he understands both languages spoken by his parents when I spend time with them. What a fun and unique gift! Hobbs family, I’m so excited to see where your family will go and how you’ll change even more this next year! Your boys are so adorable and I am so impressed how well they did for such a chilly day! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
