The Hood Family // Cottage Grove Lifestyle Family Portraits

Meet the Hood Family! This amazing family of four just moved to Cottage Grove from Wisconsin. As you can see they have two adorable little kiddos that made it quite an exciting in-home lifestyle portrait session. I always love family portraits at home and a lifestyle session that includes playing with Christmas lights? Count me in!

One of the cutest parts of the session was when their son laid on the bed, resting his head on his hands and their dog laid down next to him, seeming to make the exact expression. We not only managed to get some family portraits, kiddo portraits, and candid shots of them playing with the lights but also quickly snuck mom and dad outside for a few photos of their own! It's so important to document marriage all the while documenting the exciting stages of family life as it's the book to which our children are a chapter. 

Jake and Analisa, you have a beautiful home, I'm in love with your front porch Christmas decor, and I can tell you have way too much fun playing games with the kids regularily on your bed. The joy in their eyes as they jumped up and down, had a tickle fight, and shared kisses shows me that you two are working hard to pass on that love to them. Keep pressing on, keep staying warm amidst the cold, and have a very Merry Christmas season!
