The Metzgers // Christmas Tree Family Photos at Crown College

​Oh my goodness. More sessions like these, please! This awesome family looks like they’re straight out of an Old Navy commercial, am I right? It also helps that it snowed the day before. Yup, snow. We live in Minnesota after all, so it’s definitely a possibility to have snow the last week of October. When it looks this pretty and when I have clients who are totally okay with it, you can’t help but love how gorgeous it is.
 
We took their family photos at Crown College, the very place that I met this awesome couple as we all attended there for our undergraduate degrees. Mark and Nate worked together on the grounds crew during the school year and summers. They have way too many stories that are brought up often and probably should not be documented in writing from those days – so needless to say, lots of fun.
 
What I loved about their family session is that these interactions are real. Their little guy was so excited to be outdoors playing and exploring. He even “helped” me take a photo of his dad and little sister at one point. He was so curious about the big camera – who wouldn’t be?—so I let him get behind the lens with me and press the button a few times.  The little girl didn’t cry once – what a champ! She giggled at her big brother and specifically enjoyed the tossing into her air by her dad. When I asked Nate and Judy if they wanted to do a kissing photo, they were immediately game for it which is always a sign that the marriage is still running strong – even after two kids they still kiss (#marriagegoals).
 
Nate and Judy, your kids are adorable and I had so much fun hanging out with you all. Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your family photos! I hope you love them and can’t wait to see how you use them!
