This family session is a super special one for us on the blog today! Meet the Kirsch family, a family we have known for the past ten years. When we first met this family at our church, their son Noah was battling and, to God be the glory, beat cancer. We have had the pleasure of watching them throughout the years growing up but also grow as a family, as they have continually opened their home to the foster system, welcoming and loving those who come and go in times of need as well as creating permanent homes for others as well. We have firsthand seen how challenging it can be but also how they have learned, surrendered, and allowed God to mold their hearts as imperfect human beings seeking to serve a perfect God. Eric and Ranell are the leaders of this crew and have 4 biological children, but as you can see, they're well beyond that number. They have also walked alongside others who are in the roles of fostering to adoption and in their "free time" can be found serving regularly at our church personally, as well as encouraging their kids to serve. They are known as quite the group of hard workers! I have many favorite moments in this family. One was getting to witness their son Noah's baptism in their family pool. The other was my husband Mark being honored with dedicating their teenager Maria to the Lord after being adopted into their family. The final one I'd mention is the countless times they walk by, and my children almost break the windows in their excitement to make them stop so they can get on their shoes and run out to chat. I think we survived COVID with our wits intact in part because we were able to socially distance see them in those early days. Kirsch family, thank you so much for your Christlike example and realness of how you need Him. Thank you for being a part of our lives and our kids' lives. Thank you for helping us prioritize our marriage and get out on some date nights! You make a difference and we love you!
