 When Mark & I explain that we are a husband and wife wedding photographer team, we are often asked, “What’s your craziest bridezilla story?!” And we’re then excited to explain that we really haven’t had any! This is the honest truth, we have been so blessed to work with amazing couples each and every wedding day for their wedding portraits and Gabby and Donny are another one of those couples! This does not mean that wedding days always go as planned or that wedding days aren’t stressful at times. I think any married couple could share how things went “wrong” on their wedding day, and we can share countless stories from behind the scenes. It’s what you do with those “wrong” moments. Gabby and Donny had quite the thunderstorm crash their plans, but they didn’t freak out. They weren’t overly worried. They adapted! They switched their outdoor ceremony to indoors quickly. They went outdoors amidst the rain periods for portraits, and they truly had a BEAUTIFUL day! Mark and I always say you can tell a lot about a couple by these moments. We often hear in vows today, “For better or worse…”, and so when the “worse” happens, we get to see how a couple will react – will they get stuck on it or will they press on? Gabby and Donny were quick, they were a team, and they did amazing! Donny and Gabby, thank you for trusting us to be your wedding photographers! Thank you for allowing us to hang out with you, get to know your beautiful daughter Nora, and be reminded of the beginning of marriage! We loved how Nora was beaming the entire day watching you two and we pray you will continue to grow in your love for one another, her, and Christ! This marriage and parenting thing can be hard, but just like the storm on your day, lean on one another and adapt and you’ll make it through beautifully!
