Cottage Grove Fall Family Mini Portraits: Ogren Family

What is it about kids that keep growing each year?! Ha! I know, but all jokes aside. Wow, time flies by. We first had the privilege of photographing the Ogren family back when no-longer-so-little Jeremiah here was a newborn. Yup, picture a newborn baby in not the greatest lighting and with a person who was just entering into the photography world. Oh my have we learned so much since that day, but the trust and privilege that Bethany and Jeff gave me all those years ago and continue to give me in documenting their family portraits means more than I can say.

These are the photos I hope and pray that they’ll look at for years to come, to compare one year to the next and see how quickly their kids grew or how many teeth were missing that year and then have more memories flood in of “remember, when it was so windy the time that mom’s hair was flying everywhere?” to then even more memories about life those days… that’s what I dream of. We don’t say we love getting to hang out with people and tell their stories through photos just because it sounds like a good thing as a photographer to say, we mean it. Like really mean it. Life is short and our desire is to capture the preciousness of it for the years to come.

Ogren family, thanks once again for trusting me to capture your precious family! We have so enjoyed getting to know each of you more and more with each passing year, and we are so honored to know you! Hope Jeremiah had an awesome birthday, and you had a great time with grandpa and grandma in town. Until next time – just hopefully with less hair in the face because of the wind ;)
