Cottage Grove Fall Mini Photos: The Koch Family

Ahh, this family. They have a special place in my photography heart. I love how much they love to have fun, how natural the giggles come, and how the two littlest ladies and their daddy know how to strike a pose. Yes, you read that right, the dad (Sean) is the one that I see striking a pose with the girls. How cool of a girl dad is that? All the laughter is for real. Krista here is an unbelievable champ because the day before these photos, she ran a marathon. Yup, ran a marathon one day, family photos the next. I was so impressed how she normal she could walk, let alone in her boots with heels.

All silliness aside, I love it when I have the opportunity to leave a session and think to myself, “That family would be fun to be around or grow up in.” These two little ladies sure can be silly and sassy, but they live in a place of complete confidence. Someday they’ll realize that this isn’t the case for every little boy and girl and how it’s such a gift because they can be completely confident in the love they get from their mom and dad. And making “ewww gross” sounds or trying to split mom and dad up when they kiss? Not these sisters. They encourage them – which is actually almost more hilarious when it happens.

Koch family, thanks so much for trusting us to capture your family photos since you moved here to Cottage Grove. You guys are absolutely fun, and I always look forward to your family photos in the fall! Can’t wait to see what moves you prepare for next year! Hope to see you at the park again before then. And PS – loved the rugby costumes at the gym ;)
