Cottage Grove Family Mini Portrait Sessions, Highlands Park // Leppke Family

Whenever you stay twenty minutes just chatting about life and its many choices after a photo shoot, I can’t help be grateful for the job that we do. To be able to walk with others through life’s craziest ups and downs is something we do not take for granted and regularly remind each other of how precious it is. This happened when we took the Leppke family’s photos a few weeks back. Jenna & I stood and chatted while her hubby chased their smiling and giggly kiddos through the leaves.

I met the Leppke family last year and instantly loved their two adorable kiddos – their energetic and exciting son and their spunky little girl. It was a lot of fun chasing these two through the leaves! Photos with little kids can definitely be challenging, but since I have kids this very age, I get it! For this session, that meant my putting leaves on top of my head to make them giggle and look at the camera as well as working up to a “leaf fight” after mom and dad got a chance to take a photo just those two.

Leppke family, thanks for trusting us to capture your family photos again! It’s so great to see how your precious littles have grown in the past year! We love the genuine care and friendship that shines through you. It’s rare in this world today to be able to feel like you’re totally “be-ing” in the moment versus rushing to the next thing, and you guys balance that so beautifully even with two active kids! I pray that these photos will be a timeless treasure of the special moments and little memories of your kids running around without a care in the world - all the while loving on each other and looking up to you!
