Cottage Grove Family's In-Home Newborn Lifestyle Portraits | The Ghandours

The first time I met the Ghandours was at their eldest’s newborn portraits in their condominium home in Hastings. A few years later, we reconnected for family photos when their middle man came into the world. We met up last fall to take some fun family mini portraits. Now, they have welcomed baby Layla, and it was fun to be welcomed into their new home here in Cottage Grove.

My favorite part of photography is seeing how families change from year-to-year while simultaneously staying the same in their specialness as a family. The Ghandours are one such family! Big sister and big brother are absolutely smitten with baby Layla and were more than willing to shower her with love and cuddles – as long as we peeked into their fun bedrooms in the process.

Layla was the classic third baby – absolutely chill until the moment she needed a snack, and then right back to being super chill. I know where she gets the relaxed persona from as I saw once again how Bilal and Heidi are so patient and gentle in their parenting. Their kids are able to take deep breaths and enjoy life with the atmosphere that their parents are purposefully cultivating.

Ghandour family, thanks again for trusting me to photograph such a precious stage of life! It is always such a blessing to get a glimpse into your everyday life and to see how your children light up, sharing so much joy! Hope you are getting some good sleep with this little one and adjusting to the family of five well! Much love!
