What I love about fall — more than the crisp leaves, the warm cuddles under a blanket, or a steamy beverage in my hand; more than the gorgeous fall colors, the golden rain storms, or watching the leaves float down to the ground below; more than a good football game, delicious chilly, or crumbly cornbread — is how fall brings us together again. It reintroduces coziness and multiple family gatherings. Don’t get me wrong, summer is great for adventures, swimming, and late nights outdoors, but fall is that short season where we all step outside together to see the beauty and try to gather with those closest to enjoy the short few weeks. I get to see this special family gathering amidst fall over and over again as fall family photo sessions happen. I see families in all shapes, sizes, and stages — and each one is so beautifully unique, like the different beautiful leaves that fall from the various trees. The family picture here is one of many precious families I’ve had the honor of spending my evenings with this fall. The Biehl family are new to town, moving here from Indiana amidst a pandemic. As we walked along, they shared bits and pieces of their life — how their son is obsessed with Trolls and how when they moved here it was almost impossible because gas stations wouldn't allow people to use their restrooms and so many places were closed along the way. There’s something so special getting to hear one another’s stories as you walk amidst the autumn air! Biehl family, thank you so much for the fun with your precious kiddos! Hope you’re continuing to settle in well to your new area!
