There is no way to describe the honor of getting to photograph a family from year-to-year. It’s beyond a privilege to watch the littles grow, to see how the couple continues to love and cherish one another, and to laugh as we run around and take family photos together. It's one of my main reasons of why we started doing mini sessions in the summer and fall! We knew that a full session can sometimes be too long for family with littles so we wanted to create a mini portrait experience, so we could still see so many fun families change from year-to-year! So much can happen in a year and it’s so easy for it to fly by, so these moments are the chance we get to stop, capture life at this stage, and take a deep breath, because it’s so quickly flying by. I remember the first time we met the Koch family. We were photographing the family and the little miss for her one year's portraits -- the celebration their little lady’s first birthday with tutu and all! Since then, we’ve gotten to hang out the last two years in the fall for their family photos again, with the girls showing their loving and spunky sides, and this year we correctly traced the spunk back to their daddy. (Yes, Sean, I am quite sure that they get their poses from you :D) Koch family, thanks so much for another great evening! Mark is slightly jealous he has yet to meet you and every time I show him the photos says, “They look like a family we’d have a blast hanging with!” We hope your transition into a new normal for this school year is smooth and that you continue to cherish the moments together!
