Intimate Summer Backyard Wedding in Hastings, MN // William & Vicki

One of the things this COVID pandemic has shown us is the sweet spot of people being surrounded by their closest friends and family. Don’t get us wrong, we absolutely still love full on wedding days, but there’s just something unique during this time. Having a backyard wedding at Vicki’s parent’s house in Hastings was always one of William and Vicki’s plans, they just had to adapt it a bit – as all plans are being done to these days.

What they probably didn’t plan for was the 86 degrees and high humidity that hit (ironically complete opposite of their super chilly engagement portraits), but like everything else, these two rolled with the punches and went with it. (And Mark kept us all cool by constant fanning with our light reflector!) We laughed lots on this fun day amidst it all, and there were also very sweet and emotional moments. Vicki chose to do a precious first look with her dad, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room! Also, one of the amazing behind the scene details was the beautiful arbor made by Vicki’s grandfather that they got married in front of – stunning, right? He did the flowers and all!

Vicki and William, thank you so much for including us in your precious day! It was beyond an honor to hang out with you two alongside your closest friends and family – in fact, thank you so much for making us feel like some of your closest friends & family! We heard many times throughout the day about how long you two have been together and how it’s about time you took this step – and now you’ve taken it! So we pray that you two will continue to walk in this step, continue to build a strong relationship, and continue to have fun amidst all the crazy things that life throws at you!
