I think we can all agree that this year has been quite a rollercoaster of emotions, changes, and all the unknowns. And yet, many of us have not had to add on the extra aspect of planning a wedding day while living in a pandemic. Josh and Michaela have done just that. They got engaged the day after Valentine’s Day this year and immediately set in on planning — picking the always amazing Historic Hope Glen Farms in Cottage Grove as their wedding venue. They just weren’t sure what their day would look like and, at points, even if they would be able to have it — let alone who would be able to come. They continued to press on and before they knew it, as Michaela said during the thank you toast, they were able to have their dream wedding. And what a dream wedding it was! The weather was fantastic, the guests were ecstatic to celebrate the couple, and all the details that they worked tirelessly to put together were beautiful. Our favorite moment of the day was the daddy-daughter dance — not just because of their special relationship and watching the memories flash before their eyes as they danced amidst a crowd of their closest friends and family but also because Josh was locked in on the entire dance and smiling from ear-to-ear as he watched his bride dance with her father. We also loved the chance to sneak out of their reception for sunset photos; it’s always such a fun adventure! Josh & Michaela, thanks so much for trusting us to walk alongside you on this special day! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your start of forever! We were so honored to see how you two set a strong foundation for your marriage — one that you would say is built on Christ and encouraged by those around you. We hope you enjoyed your honeymoon and are adjusting to the newlywed stage well! THE CREATIVE TEAM
