Luke & Anna's Winter Golden Hour Sunset Engagement Photos at Afton State Park in MN

Seriously you guys, we can’t even. We can’t even begin to tell you how unbelievably fortunate we feel to be able to not only hang out with awesome engaged couples on a regular basis, but to ultimately capture this unique time in the couple’s relationship – and to then capture their wedding day? Even better!

We know Luke and Anna through our brother-in-law (Luke is his younger brother), so while this was the first time meeting Anna in person, it did not feel like it as we had the behind the scenes insight of our brother-in-law and Lindsay’s sister on this special girl entering Luke’s life. One of the sweetest things about her is how she unbelievably radiates love in such an intense, but matter of fact way – she loves Jesus, and she loves Luke, so she’s ready to go forward in life and take on the world. Luke on the other hand is that lovable uncle, the one who seems so content and relaxed while being so excited for the next stage of life they will be entering into.


These two met at a family member's grad party and within a few short days, the rest was quite literally history. They both knew from the get-go that this relationship was something different, and they approached it with a beautifully intense purpose that even after their first few dates, it just felt so natural and so normal to be with one another that the idea of living their lives separately for much longer just did not seem like a life fully lived. So, shortly after Luke found himself on one knee asking Anna to become his wife. Did they plan on doing this all during a pandemic? No. Do we know what exactly will happen for their wedding day? No… and yes. We know that these two will look each other in the eyes with the same intensity, the same purpose, and step into a life together for as long as they both shall live.
