Rush Family of 4 // Newborn Lifestyle Family Portraits in Chaska, MN

Precious. Life is just so precious. One moment, you’re taking engagement photos with the pup, the next moment you’re walking down the aisle towards the one that you love, moments later you’re waiting with anticipation to welcome the precious baby you’re carrying into the world, and before you know it, your firstborn is now blossoming into a big sister. How did it all go so quickly? I finally understand how parents of older kids describe their child's life passing by in the blink of an eye -- a quick moment where we’re transported from one to the next. This is how I feel about my sweet kiddos and how I feel about getting to document the latest Rush family addition, little Miss Bailey.

We first met Nathan and Cali when they were looking for wedding photographers and had so much fun documenting their winter wedding in 2018, and then maternity portraits, followed by an in-home lifestyle session when Reese came into the world. Now Reese is a big sister who loves to look for and put in Bailey’s pacifiers.

​Nathan and Cali, thanks so much for trusting us to document these precious moments of life. Thank you for the opportunity to capture the way you relate to one another and the adorable little ladies you’ve welcomed into your family. Thank you for being an example of a strong, loving relationship – at ease when around the one you love. We pray that this transition to a family of four goes smoothly, that as you have moments where you switch from zone to man-to-man coverage you will become more used to the balancing act, and that as your children grow up in the world, you will be able to soak up the precious moments – to pause and reflect of how blessed you both are – and to know that life is just so precious.

We're a husband and wife wedding and portrait photographer team based in Cottage Grove, Minnesota! What exactly does that mean? You'll have to find out more about us but the basic idea is that Lindsay rocks all the portrait sessions and Mark joins in the fun for engagements and wedding days (because #lifewiththreekids)!
