Parenting, according to Oxford Language is the activity of bringing up a child as a parent. The challenging part is (at least for me) sometimes I don’t feel like a parent quite yet. It amazes me as I look at my own little humans that they are just that — children who need a parent to bring them up. It’s in these moments where it’s easy to feel completely incapable. The reality is that we bring up a child as parents one moment at a time. That’s what parenting is: it’s a journey — a long one at that, but still a journey in which each step — each little moment — requires us to keep moving forward. Do we do it perfectly? No, but hopefully each step we continue to learn how to move forward and bring up the child on the journey with us. Katie & Brian are right there on this journey, and oh boy is their precious little Gavin benefiting from the steps that they are taking on his journey. He’s flourishing right before their very eyes, and his eyes light with excitement each step he takes — especially whenever he sees geese. Rock family, you guys are so precious, and we pray you continue to enjoy these days and steps — these moments that will move by so quickly. Thank you for trusting me to document the ever-moving quick steps in this life!
