Cottage Grove Family Portraits // The Gordons

Have you ever met someone over email and thought immediately, “Wow, we could be good friends”? Maybe it’s just me, but that’s exactly how we felt when Maggie first reached out sharing that her family was looking for someone to take their family photos. They had just moved over to Cottage Grove from Eden Prairie and had discovered us on google – little did we know how much we had in common at the beginning! I shared I knew EP pretty well as I had gone to a college in St. Bonifacius, to which we then found out her hubby had also gone to that college, and we even overlapped attending a few years.

Since emailing, we’ve had the privilege of hanging out with this family a few times and even had them over for dinner. Grayson is just as cute in person as he is in the photos – such a fun little dude who loves being with both his parents! Maggie and Garret are both so relaxed and real from the minute you first meet them, which in our culture today is so rare, so you’re drawn to get to know them more. And the more you get to know them, the more you want to keep knowing them. The way they look at each other when they talk, the way they share the responsibilities of parenting, and the way they talk about life can’t help but leave you feeling encouraged.

Gordon family, we’ve loved getting to know you! You guys are so awesome and so intentional to just be while amidst the busy stages of life with a little kid. We are praying that as you continue to grow your roots in Cottage Grove and find a solid community to share life with and encourage one another in! We loved getting to photograph you and capture this super quick and precious stage, as well as the fun relationship of Winston & Grayson! Talk soon!
