We all know the drill. You get together with the extended family and someone says, “Hey, we should get a family photo!” You’re then trying to set your phone on a chair and you, thankfully, figured out that it has a timer, so you can run back to the group and be in the photo as well… or maybe you’re doing the everyone cram in the photo behind me shot and when you look at the photo, your head is the largest because you’re the closest to the camera… or maybe you take turn taking photos of different groups but never the whole group together… or… well, we think you get the picture. Family photos can be hard, especially when you are trying to take them and be in them at the same time. (If only you could temporarily clone yourself…) This is why when Catherine Jensen reached out saying that she wanted to purchase a mini session for her parents, siblings, and their kids to all get photos together, my first thought was BRILLIANT! She’s giving the ability for everyone to be able to just be. Unfortunately, it looked like the weather wasn’t going to play nice with us. It had snowed two days prior, and here we were on the day of with a slight chance of sleet/rain mix, but other than a few drizzles right at the beginning, the sun actually peaked out! Jensen family, it was so fun to see you all together! To see little Emma having a TON of fun riding on grandpa’s hover-round, to see Eliza just take it all in with her great big, beautiful eyes, and Ricky hanging out with his aunt & uncle – who are also all three of the kids’ godparents. We pray that these photos show the preciousness of the relationships in your family!
