Halley & Zach // Engagement Portraits in Stillwater, MN

Halley and Zach… where to start with these two lovebirds? We’ve known Halley since she was in high school; she came along one Wednesday night to youth group and soon became a regular in our life. We’ve so enjoyed getting to know her and walking alongside of her in the bends and turns that life brings ya. Needless to say, when Halley met Zach and first described him to us, we were encouraged to hear her describing a man who seemed to love and respect her, care for and cherish her, and laugh and hold her. Is Zach perfect? I think he’d be the first to say no he’s not, but none of us are ;) So when Halley and Zach got engaged and then asked Mark to marry them and I (Lindsay) to photograph their Colorado intimate wedding? We were totally game.

We always say that engagement photos are like the first date in front of our camera, a chance to get to know what to do, laugh and have fun, and maybe even sometimes feel slightly awkward – I know we still feel the same in front of the camera too! But I’d say that after this “first date,” I am super excited about Halley and Zach’s wedding in Colorado this August!

​Halley and Zach, continue to choose to cherish one another. We’ll probably say at some point (if we already haven’t) that marriage is like an epic Lego castle set – it’s amazing! And yet, when you open it, there are a ton of tiny little pieces that have to be put together. It takes time, teamwork, and a good set of instructions – which we would say the Bible is a pretty solid game plan to take into marriage! Here’s to fun things ahead! We can’t wait for your big day!
