Summer Sunset Elopement in Stillwater, Minnesota // Jenavae & Misha

Boy meets girl. Boy and girl fall in love. Boy and girl run off to get married. Wait a second, not the “typical” love story? Jenavae and Misha have anything but that! While COVID has thrown everyone for a loop in their wedding day planning, these two decided that enough was enough and they were ready to get married no matter what. They settled in on a date and reached out to us for their wedding day photography. There is something beautifully simple about an elopement – you get to take in the full moment, not be rushed, and watch each person’s reaction throughout the minimony. You can chase the sunset, go get dinner in your wedding dress, and drive off without anyone knowing what has happened – a secret you choose when and where to share with the world.

Jenavae and Misha chose to celebrate with only a handful of their closest friends & family. It just kept things simpler that way. In fact, one such old friend is the man who married them, Fred, who shared that he had the privilege of going to Ukraine which is where Misha is adopted from. One awesome fact about this couple is that they are both adopted!

Thank you so much, you two, for choosing me to walk alongside you in this precious time! Your day was absolutely special and a true testament to your relationship – one that can find such joy in the simple beauties of life, walking hand-in-hand with the one you love, and focusing your relationship on Christ. We pray that you continue to grow together and encourage each other amidst a world where love is often traded out for other four letter words. Hope you enjoyed driving off in your fun truck to a delicious dinner and get to go on that honeymoon once everything slows down!
