Note to self: a brilliant way to celebrate mom’s birthday is with family photos. This is the case for the Hoffman family this year as they gathered all together on Kim’s birthday for family photos before hitting up Texas Roadhouse for dinner (so smart, because I definitely eat wayyy too many rolls when I go there)! We know this fun-loving family from our church and have been able to watch the Hoffman “kids” grow up – except, they’re no longer kids. With Sam in the middle of his senior year, Kim and Steve are about to transition into having all young adults in their family. I think my favorite thing about this family is their attitudes. Say what? Yup, attitudes. We have been in numerous situations where we could use some help, and they are always there willing to help. But it’s not a begrudging like “sure, I will help you,” it’s like a “right there with you in it and working hard to serve others” attitude… just not one that is as naturally common these days. They are also very well loved by my children as they take the time to ask them questions and then listen to all the things, which if you know my kids, most likely will be sports related. Hoffman family, thanks for the super relaxed and fun family mini photos at Kunzer Tree Farm! Hope you had an amazing time at Texas Roadhouse afterwards and that you were able to enjoy the rest of the night before a couple busy days and then right into all the yummy foods and commotion of Thanksgiving week. We are so grateful to have each of you in our life and so thankful for how you all encourage us, walk alongside us, and serve with us. Happy Thanksgiving!
