First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage! This is certainly the case for the amazing couple of Nathan and Cali! We just had the pleasure of hanging out with them for their mini portrait session after enjoying photographing their wedding day last November, and their engagement portraits two years ago! It’s so exciting getting to walk alongside an awesome couple like these two in all the special moments of life!

Nathan and Cali are having a baby GIRL! Welcome to the girl club – one we just joined ourselves this last April! We loved discussing all the fun things that they will now be buying and the new vocabularies that they will be using (i.e. bloomers – the underwear looking thing that covers the diapers). Speaking of diapers, these two said that’s basically all that’s left for them to get for baby girl!

Cali and Nathan, we are SO excited for you two!! If we can tell you anything about this stage you’re entering is that it’s a stage… and one of many ups, downs, and sometimes mundane periods. Discouraging? Hopefully not! If we expect life to be always a high, then that’s like a flatline on medical equipment – not truly living. So press on through the heartbeat!

Continue to pursue each other because some days will be very long and your own needs haven’t been met. Continue to date each other and encourage each other through this. Continue to mix face-to-face chats about life with shoulder-to-shoulder walks. Keep trying to sleep when the little baby girl is down and when everything feels like it’s crashing in on you, look up. There are those who won’t judge you. There is a God who hears your prayers. There are others who are willing to help you.

You two will make awesome parents! We can’t wait to hear your journey of how your little girl was born and how you make this adjustment!
