Rachael & Andy's November Maternity Photos at Afton State Park // Cottage Grove, MN

What’s better than being a couple’s wedding photographers? Getting to be the couple’s wedding day photographers and then also capturing their maternity portraits! It was beyond fun to capture Rachael and Andy’s wedding at Settlement Hill Farms in Hudson, Wisconsin, and getting to catch up with them again at Afton State Park last week was icing on the cake. I loved walking amongst the empty trees and capturing not only their love for each other, but also their love for their soon-to-be-here baby boy! Rachael is 33 weeks pregnant and beyond glowing!

While these two did share their baby boy’s precious name with me, I will let them keep that for whoever they’d like to share it with — but it’s a cute one with inspiration from both of their families! Got to love that! As far as other baby preparations come, these two are pretty well set. They have almost completely finished decorating his bedroom, have baby showers this weekend, and even took a parenting class 2020-style on zoom. Speaking of the parenting class on zoom, they said it was rather comical having the instructor trying to show them the things over the webcam -- I can only imagine what that would be like having gone through parenting classes myself! All that Rachael said they have left to go is packing the hospital to-go bag which she said she plans to do before the end of this month.

Rachael and Andy, thanks so much for such a fun evening! We are praying that this little one will be a total bundle of joy and the transition would be smooth for you both! Keep continuing to sacrificially love one another and fighting for each other! And Andy… go get Rachael some more mint chocolate chip ice cream! Unless that craving has changed ;)
