In the Bible the Israelites often built piles of rocks to symbolize different achievements, milestones, and ways that God had met them, but that’s not really done much today, so when Shauna and Jordan reached out saying they wanted to do a couple portrait session to commemorate the milestone of being married for five years, I was super excited! Anniversary sessions are so precious because they capture the specialness of the stage that you are in and each year looks different. Mark and I try to take on an anniversary session for ourselves each year – although this year it also included the kids…and is still needing to be edited (#busyseason)! We met Shauna and Jordan at one of our past WP couple’s wedding! In fact, Shauna is the sister and was our bride, Kari’s, matron of honor! We spent our time during Shauna and Jordan’s portrait session exploring the Landmark Center in downtown St. Paul, which I have to admit, I haven’t had the pleasure of exploring previously, so it was so fun to with them! The Landmark Center is a beautiful spot with lots of different rooms commemorating history, the styles, and architecture of the Landmark’s era. It also photographs beautifully due to the natural light that is let in from the skylight. Shauna and Jordan, thank you so much for trusting us with this precious milestone! We are so excited for you two as you’ve completed five years and still have so many more years to go ahead! We pray that you will continue to celebrate each and every anniversary in an unique way and that you are able to look back at all of your little “piles” along the way, seeing how God has been faithful in guiding you through it all. Hope you have an awesome time celebrating in a few weeks!
