Summer Morning Family Portraits in Cottage Grove | The Hellen Family

Early morning sessions are so fun with little kiddos – they’re bright-eyed and cheery from a good night’s rest, the sun isn’t too hot quite yet on the summer day, and most of the world is not yet out and about. The kids being super smiley and playful on top of it all? Yes, please! 

I first met this family last year and we had a rough time getting a good weather day, but thankfully this time that was not the case. In fact, we picked the perfect time as even later in the afternoon or the same time the next morning we would’ve been smoked out with all the smoke from the Canadian fires. We chose to do their photos this year at Oakwood Park in Cottage Grove as the sunrise matched the hill looking over the city that they live in and felt like a good fit for capturing this stage of the Hellen family’s life.

Hellen family, thank you again for trusting me to capture this precious stage of life! Your kids are just as sweet as they were last year and I so enjoyed the smiles and giggles throughout the family session, getting to watch you play and interact with them was so fun to see an insight into your day-to-day relationships. Hope you had fun at the park afterward!
