The first date started out with a simple meetup at a Dunn Bros coffee shop. Ted & Angela sat on a stone bench and chatted before taking a stroll downtown Minneapolis (now you see why we went back here for their engagement photos!). They had met on a dating site, Hinge, and after mutually liking similar things, they thought they’d give it a try. The same week, she invited him to a church hangout night, and he chose to come along. Then, they hung out again later that week, which led into meeting his parents, which led into lunch with her parents, and the rest? History (well, history in the making ;D).
They love to hang out, go on walks, love Jesus, and spend time with their friends and family. In fact, Ted proposed to Angela at their pastor’s house on January 31st. They were having dinner with them when Ted asked for a photo of the two of them. He had worked this out with the pastor ahead of time that instead of a photo, he would take a video of Ted proposing. Ted got down on his knees behind her, and Angela didn’t see it coming, “You can stand up!” She said to him, when no, in fact, he could not. When the reality hit her, all she could say was, “Is it really happening?!” and he put the ring on her finger because it most definitely was.
Ted & Angela, we’re praying for you two! We remember how you asked us what you could pray for us about at the end of your engagement session which is so sweet and so timely – we said sickness, we’re tired of all the sickness. Little did we know at that time that our world would be drastically changing with the coronavirus. We’re praying for you to keep the priority on God and each other while planning your wedding amidst all of this. Stay strong!
