We've been taking this precious families' photos for multiple years now ever since we started doing fall mini sessions in Cottage Grove. I love the chance to see how the kids change from year-to-year and yet stay the same. Keep pressing on in parenting, Jason & Wa!

Guess what time of year it is! You got it: fall family mini sessions. I love this time of the year. While it can definitely be busy and jam-packed photographing multiple families in one night, I thoroughly love getting to see how family after family is so unique and beautiful, while at the same time seeing the same special relationships that exist from family-to-family. This is very true in the case of the Johnson family; there’s two older brothers and a little sister - reminds me of my kiddos! Their interactions were so special to witness. Johnson family, thank you for allowing me to capture your precious family!
Ahh mini sessions. You can't help but love them! Cue on all the adorable toddlers, all the amazing parents, all the cute couples, all the fun grandparents, all the various stages of this wonderful, beautiful thing we call life. Got to love it! This is why I am so excited to share this year's late summer/fall mini sessions in the Cottage Grove and Hastings area are back and in full swing. Each of these spots are personal favorites of mine and I can't wait to show you around. (Get a sneak peek by checking out a blog from a session there below.) You'll notice the final one is TBD because it might be one we pick based on what leaves are looking like on the trees. Other than that, let me know if you have questions! Can't wait to see everyone! Are mini sessions for you? You don't like the sound of committing to the full portrait session of 45 minutes or you only need a few photos. We hear ya! So, this is why we love mini sessions. They’re twenty minutes so the kids should be able to stay somewhat entertained, the man in your life should be able to rock it for that long, and you – you get to relax and be in the moment instead of documenting it. So go ahead, pick a date and time. Spots are first come, first serve! To book, reserve your spot by filling out our portrait inquiry with a first and second time choice. Then, we’ll email you back with your secured spot time, contract, & invoice. If your non-refundable retainer isn’t received within a week time, your spot will open back up.
Gault Family's Baby #2 Maternity / Family Photos at Woodbury, MN's Kunzer Christmas Tree Farm1/4/2022 I snuck this family in right before Christmas for a Christmas tree mini portrait session. I love the chance to see the progression of life firsthand as it goes along. I first met these two when they were engaged, and we were able to capture their wedding day at The Grands at Mulligan in St. Cloud. Then we captured their maternity photos of little Gavin and did their family photos last year. So, to add another year of family photos, capturing the exciting moments before another precious baby enters the world? Priceless!
I always love the chance to photograph families that we personally know. It’s always such a privilege to take photos of families, but families that we engage with on a regular basis? Icing on the cake to take portraits of those near and dear to our heart, and then when my kiddos see the photos of those that they love on my computer, you better be leave there is lots of excitement in the Wiggins household and questions as to why they didn’t get to come along. This is true for the Jukich family! We’ve known this family since before they were an official family and have been blessed to grow in relationship with them as both of our families have grown. In fact, little Huxley here? Born only a few days after Chloe was at the same hospital – how cool is that? The twins, Liam and Nolan, are pretty much like superstars in our household. In fact, when we’re heading home on the highway, driving by their house is one of the top two requests. We started their micro session with the classic smiling and standing photos and then ended it with a fun snowball fight that even Huxley joined in on.
